Driven by the presumption of equality of intelligence, Exeko’s caseworkers complement existing resources by using cultural and intellectual mediation as an engine of social change and a vector of citizen participation, crime prevention, employability, identity reinforcement, school perseverance, social diversity, etc.
The organization’s commitment to offer vulnerable people tools to be more autonomous is consistent with the Foundation’s objectives. Exeko’s approach, based on the development of critical thinking and judgment, is unique and interesting. Moreover the organization collaborates with a large number of partners throughout Québec, thus reaching many prison inmates, people with intellectual disabilities, Indigenous communities and working-class environments.
